Voted "Best Female Top 40/Variety Vocalist 2007" by Detroit Metro Area Musicians and Entertainer's Association , she is known worldwide for her energetic professionalism. Her continuing popularity as a choice for private and public venues is largely due to the fact that she is an accomplished entertainer for all occasions who possesses a very large and eclectic repertoire sure to excite crowds of varying ages and musical tastes.
Early adventures in performing include a wide variety of genres and performance situations including lead and backing vocals live and in studio as well as an influential tour with a Vegas style show band. Detroit has seen Kimberly collaborate with and take notes from some of its finest artists. She has performed onstage at the world famous DEMF (Detroit Electronic Music Festival) and has warmed stages for Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Kool and The Gang and Paramount Picture Studios nationwide.
Locally, you may recognize her unique backing vocals on several recent recording projects. Accompanied by Chris Codish (From The Brothers Groove) she helped christen the Northwest International Airline Terminal at the VIP grand opening gala. Televised appearances include the National anthem broadcast via Fox network from the Palace of Auburn Hills (the home of the Detroit Pistons) and featured entertainment commercials for the Greektown Casino in downtown Detroit.
On a more global note - Kimberly Fairchild entertained at a personal and exclusive fundraiser given by the Princess Caroline of Monaco to benefit The Detroit Opera House Theatre. She was also invited to Japan where she performed in exclusive nightclubs and select concert venues including the annual Beaujolais Nouveau Festival and The National Ballroom Dancing Conference. For many years she's been affectionately received in Detroit Area clubs and casinos while a member of several popular bands before becoming a dynamic band leader in her own right.
